Make Your Own Spot Cleaner
Well all know that the number one reason anyone dreads having carpet is STAINS. But what can you use that will work best on stains. Not everyone has a steam cleaner, not everyone can afford expensive products. So I am going to teach you how to make the best spot cleaner using things you more than likely have in your home already. WARNING: If this is an ink or dye stain DO NOT use vinegar it will make it worse. Here is what you will need
- Empty spray bottle
- Steam cleaner, cleaning solution
- baking soda
- .5 a tsp of white distilled vinegar
- Water
How To Make It
- Fill up the empty spray bottle half way with cleaning solution.
- 1/2 a cup of laundry detergent
- Add 1 cup of distilled white vinegar
- Add 2 cups of water
- shake and enjoy!!
How To Use It
All you need to do to use it properly is pick up all the chunky debris. Then spray stained area until it is all deeply saturated with the cleaner. Allow cleaner to set for about 2-5 minutes. ( If you have an iron you can use a damp towel, place it over the area and then use your iron on steam mode and go over it a couple of times and let it hover over the spot with the steam going). Then take a paper towel and pat dry. DO NOT RUB. Pat dry. What I like to do is roll up about three paper towels, place it over the stained area, and then stand on it until I feel it coming through the paper towel. Then repeat until minimum amounts of liquid come up.
