Vacuum Cleaners
Everyone needs one. Whether you have hard floors, carpet, or both you should have a vacuum cleaner on hand in your home. There are so many different brands out there, so which one should you choose? Hopefully by reading some of the most popular comparisons below I can help you figure out exactly which one is the perfect on for your home.
Dyson
It's truly no secret that these vacuums are great! I have owned the tall model without the ball and it was awesome. That was my first dyson vacuum that my husband got me for christmas. Pet hair is no problem with these vacuums. Pretty much anything you could think of, these vacuums will do. They last forever, and they have an awesome warranty directly through dyson. So what's the problem? The price! These vacuums start at $299.00 and go up from there. That is a major purchase! A lot of people do not want to spend that much money on a vacuum cleaner. Especially if you have not had the chance to try one out for yourself. Let me tell you, if you do try one out, you are going to want one! I now own the canister vacuum in my two story townhouse, and it works wonders! I absolutely love it. The suction is great, I can use it on my hard floors and my carpets and it gets EVERYTHING up. I think these vacuums do go on sale at christmas time, so keep a look out around then, and more than likely black friday too. If you purchase one of these I promise you, that it will last you years and years, and if you are a person that goes through vacuums like they are mops, you may want to consider investing in one of these.

Bissell
I have owned about three in of these vacuums in the six years I have been married, if that tells you anything right off the bat. At first they have great suction, they get mostly everything up off the floor and work great. It seems though, after continuous use, they start to lose power. Now you have to keep in mind that I am using these on floors that a golden retriever and a blue tick coonhound live on. If you know anything about those dogs you know the shed ALOT. So for me to find a great vacuum, it takes a lot! Now that being said, these vacuums have lasted me between three to six months. I use my vacuum everyday, at the end of the day so maybe its because of the continuous use, I am not sure, but my experience with these are that they do not last long. I also want to add that I do maintain my vacuums. I clean the hair out from the bottom and empty the canisters after every single use. So product maintenance is not an issue when it comes to the vacuum cleaner dying on me. Now there is one thing that is an advantage to these vacuums and that is price! Starting at about $44 dollars at Walmart you can pick up a full size vacuum. They go up in price from there.

Hoover
I have also owned one of the hoover vacuums before. It was actually the last one that I owned before my husband bought me my Dyson and I loved it. They have really upped their game in the vacuum world recently because before their product designs were very straight forward and conventional. Now they look more modern and sleek such as the wind tunnel air that is pictured. Their suction is great, they work well in homes with pets and they work on hard floors as well. Now you need to make sure that you maintain it! Empty the canister and clean the hair and varies things that get tangled up in the bottom, because if you don't this, along with all other vacuums, will eventually over heat and die! That is not covered in their warranty and you will need to go out and replace your vacuum with another. These vacuums start out at $58 dollars for the compact, $69 for the full size bagged version, and $84 for the full size bagless models. Keep in mind, that is just starting out, they go up from there. Now you ask why would you pay double the price compared to the bissell? In my opinion, you get what you pay for and the product reliability is a lot better with these. I thoroughly enjoyed mine, it lasted a long time, and I ended up giving my old one to someone that needed it, and they loved it. Last time I spoke with them, they said they still had it. I gave it to them two years ago.

Eureka
I have also owned one of these vacuums. It was my first purchase as a married woman. It survived about six months with me and then broke down. I know it may seem like I have a lot of issues with vacuums, you are right I DO. This one may, however, be due to product maintenance. I was young, I didn't know how to properly take care of something like this. I did empty the canister every time, but I did not clean the hair out of the bottom after every use. Matter of fact, I am not sure that I cleaned it at all. So there really is no reason why this vacuum wouldn't have broken down on me. These vacuums, from my experience, really work well. They start out at about $44 dollars just like the bissell for a full size model, but the suction on these is awesome. That was at first, I have to admit that it may have been to lack of maintenance again, but the suction did decrease rapidly over time. I didn't use these on a hard floor, but I did have a two story townhouse that I vacuumed. They are pretty heavy, although that may have changed since I last owned one, and at first they seem a little strange to use, due to bulkiness, but after awhile it you will get the hang of it.

Shark
Last but not at all the least are the Shark brand vacuums. Now we know shark for their steam mops best. The have not so recently introduced themselves into the vacuum world. They are the newest of the brand name vacuums, and from what I heard their suction is usually compared to those of the dyson. I have no personally owned one of these, but I have close friends that swear by them. From what I gather, these are great vacuums, they are priced a lot higher than others, starting at $99 for the smaller size and $129 for the full size vacuums. These do have a standard manufactures warranty and are supposedly really good with pet hair. I am not sure about the durability and reliability of these vacuums, but again from what I hear, they are pretty good and last quite awhile. I have yet to see another one of my friend purchase one of these, I have however seen them upgrade from this to a dyson.
